Shortly after celebrating Brianne’s birthday, it was time to celebrate mine! My sis planned a number of celebrations for me, including lunch at the Hello Kitty restaurant that I’ve been dying to try, a yummy hotpot dinner with the most gorgeous view of Hong Kong harbor, and ofcourse, multiple cakes! 🙂 Thank you Mims, for always making me feel so special, birthday or not!
The girls don’t like going out too much in Hong Kong, due to the crowds. Even though we have the luxury of traveling by car there, they would still much prefer to stay home and play. But, we often end up eating out, and once we’re out, we would stay out to see all the pretty CNY decorations around town.

During our last week in Hong Kong, both Brianne and Bridgette got really sick. In fact, Bridgette’s fever spiked so high (to 105 degrees) for so long that we ended up having to take her to the ER on Chinese New Year. The doctor wanted to admit her into the hospital for one night to be safe, and so, that was both her and my very first overnight hospital stay (except for her birth ofcourse!). I was grateful that I could stay with her the entire time, to hold her hands and comfort her, but frankly, I was quite terrified and worried the whole time. She was delirious during certain times, speaking in rubbish and clearly imagining things. Quite scary to witness! Fortunately, thanks to God’s grace, she was released from the hospital the next day with a number of meds, and after several more days of rest, was back to her bubbly and energetic self.

The day before we left Hong Kong, Bridgette was almost completely recovered, so we had an early celebration of her birthday with her favorite Swiss fondue!

Alan couldn’t pick us up at the airport as he had plans to watch a concert, but when we got home, we found the sweetest surprise waiting for us…
Until next time, Hong Kong!! 🙂
