When we expressed keen interest to our lodge in learning more about the nomadic lives of the Berbers in the Agafay desert, we had no idea that one of the Berber families would send over their 16 year old boy and 2 camels to take us to their village.
A couple days in the quiet Agafay desert in Morocco was so good for our souls, especially after the sensory overload in Marrakech.
The colors of Marrakech are vibrant and astounding. It’s what made the greatest impact on our visit there! Colors everywhere that evokes every emotion. Would you find joy in that, or would it be sensory overload for you? 😌
DON’T FALL FOR THE TANNERY SCAM!
We decided to visit the famous @livraria.lello bookstore in Porto and arrived 30 minutes before its opening time, but apparently everyone else had the same idea, so it was impossible to get a good shot on that beautiful red staircase. Bridge suggested we use the long exposure function on my iPhone and it turned out pretty nicely! She just had to stand as still as a rock as people shuffled up and down those stairs around her. 😂
People told us that Jardin Majorelle was a must visit while in Marrakech. It’s a botanical garden that was purchased by designer @ysl and restored in the 80s.
