My Beijing Trip Part IV. (Final)

Vivian, Kenny and I decided to take a day trip to Tianjin over the weekend before I left Beijing, so we woke up bright and early on Saturday and headed to the train station to take the 30 minute train ride to Tianjin with Kenny’s friend from Japan, Kazu.

We visited a historical home built with pieces of chinese porcelain. It was pretty awe-inspiring! We were told that the man who built this home dedicated all of his time doing so, and in turn, his wife left him.

We also visited more temples, an old antique street, and the small Italian town in Tianjin. All in all, it was a nice day trip, but I probably wouldn’t have the desire to go back!

He was making a very interesting sweet tea paste

We returned to Beijing in time for a delicious hotpot dinner with a few additional friends, followed by drinks at a nearby bar. Cheers to one of the best trips I have taken, and a gigantic thank you to my dear, dear friends Vivian and Kenny for hosting me. Vivian was the best tour guide one could ask for!

Here are more pictures of the trip, in no particular order:
