Junior Chefs

For one of our evenings in Hong Kong, I urged Mimi and Brian to go out on a date night since I was around to watch the girls. The girls decided that they would like to cook at home that evening, and invited Por Por over to join the fun.

Mimi came up with the creative idea to let the girls run wild with their imaginations in the kitchen. Beginning with the grocery shopping, they were given free reign to choose any ingredients they’d like within a certain budget. No internet research or recipe book flipping….they were to come up with their own unique dishes!

The girls spent a good few hours in the kitchen prepping and cooking. Por Por was their sous chef, and as hard as it was for her to refrain from stepping in to help, she did allow the girls the autonomy to do their own thing. The result? See for yourself….

So cute that they even came up with unusual names for each of their dishes!

The girls went from chefs to servers to fancy diners. We all got dressed up and enjoyed their creations at a nicely set table, just like an upscale restaurant!
