Family Portraits

Before I left for Beijing, we had a family portrait session with the ever-so-lovely photographer extraordinaire Lisa Lefkowitz! We had planned to take these photos way back in December, but between Alan’s travels during the week, and the non-stop rain over the weekends, we ended up postponing and rescheduling numerous times. Finally, we decided we would have this shoot on March 20th, rain or shine! We totally lucked out, because it rained both before and after our shoot, but not during. The overcast made for great lighting, but Bridgette and I were both freezing in our spring attire! The wind also destroyed Bridgette’s curls sooner than we’d like, but she still looked cute nonetheless. 🙂

Lisa used all film for this shoot, which I loved, and Bridgette and I got dolled up by Joey of JBeautique before the shoot. Bridgette was especially excited, as Joey curled her hair and added a little blush and gloss to my girly girl. We had so much fun just getting ready!

Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I saw the fedex box at my door this afternoon, with Lisa’s name as the sender! I ripped open the box right away, admired Lisa’s beautiful packaging (which she ALWAYS does a phenomenal job on) and happily went through all of the beautiful photos.
