We arrived in Hong Kong at 6:00am in the morning, and my sister was kind enough to pick us up at the airport. We put down our luggage at her home, and then went straight to the hospital to visit my grandma, Bridgette’s great grandma. It was heart breaking for me to see her in this frail condition, as I have always known my grandma to be one of the strongest woman I’ve ever encountered in my lifetime. She appeared so helpless, so fragile, yet that courageous spirit could still be felt as she held our hands tightly.
Bridgette made a heart-shape get well card for great grandma, and it was really sweet to watch her put it in great grandma’s hands. Even though we got minimal response from grandma, I have this feeling that she knew exactly who we were and could felt our presence next to her.
