Kim, the daughter of one of my dearest friends, Jean Marks, got engaged earlier this year. When we received the exciting news, Bridgette was over the moon as she loves weddings and it is quite rare these days for us to be invited to one. Every now and then, Bridge would email Kim to ask about the progress of her wedding planning.
What dress did you pick?
What colors did you choose?
Did you select your cake flavors yet?
She even attended both walk throughs at the wedding venue when Jean and I were there to discuss the details of the wedding. The anticipation grew as we inched closer and closer to October 23rd.
When the big day finally came, Bridgette soaked in every last bit of the wedding and all it’s glorious details. She felt so special when she was invited to hang out with Kim and her bridesmaids in the bridal room right before the ceremony, toasting them with sparkling cider!
The God-centered ceremony was one of the most touching that I’ve witnessed. I love that Kim and Aaron’s commitment to one another was centered on their love for the Lord. It is so encouraging to witness such strong faith amongst younger couples!
The wedding was held at a beautiful outdoor venue, Saratoga Springs. I had forgotten how much fun it is to be a guest at a wedding! We ate heartily, drank merrily, and enjoyed all the lovely details that Kim and Aaron planned, from the fun photobooth props to the s’mores after dinner, to the sparklers send-off at the end of the night. What a magical evening!
Congratulations Kim and Aaron! Wishing you both a lifetime of joy and laughter!
