Holiday Festivities

At the beginning of the year, I was invited to a cocktail reception for wedding planners hosted by the Four Seasons San Francisco’s catering department. It was definitely a first class event all the way, and we walked out with a one-of-a-kind gift tote bag that included a bottle of Moet and Chandon Rose and a voucher for a one night stay at the hotel, amongst other fabulous goodies.

Nearly one year later, I finally had time to redeem the voucher! Together with Alan, and Bridgette, we packed our overnight bags and drove up to San Francisco to enjoy the luxurious Four Seasons and the lovely holiday spirit of the city.

We started off with brunch at Ella’s, because I had been craving their pancakes for some time now!

We then drove by the Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill to see the 2 story gingerbread house in their grand lobby! Bridgette was very excited to see it, especially when I confirmed for her that it was made from real candy. Inside the gingerbread house, there was a small desk for children to write letters to Santa Claus…super cute!

After that, we checked into the Four Seasons and enjoyed some of the holiday decorations around the hotel.

After a delightful nap, we made our way to Westfield to get our Christmas shopping done! We enjoyed a casual dinner in their food court, followed by more shopping, and then we ended the evening at the movie theater with Tangled. I LOVED the movie from beginning to end, and Bridgette did too for the most part, although at one point she was a bit scared and took off her 3D glasses.

Another delightful surprise left in our room at the end of the evening!

The next morning, we had breakfast at Seasons inside the hotel and did a little more shopping before headed home. All in all, it was a great ‘staycation’ for us!
