Back in December, we took a quick 2-day family trip to Las Vegas and stayed at one of my favorite resorts there–Encore. Apparently, that was one of the quietest time in Vegas! Zero lines at check in and at restaurants (including the Wynn buffet, which usually is a 2 hour wait!), and barely any “ka-chings!” around the casino floors.
We savored the unfamiliar Vegas calmness, especially since Bridgette was with us. The downside to being there at such a slow time, was that many of the more popular restaurants were closed, as were the majority of the shows. Luckily, that didn’t disappoint us since our purpose for this trip was mainly to relax.
Despite the freezing weather, Bridgette still insisted on taking a dip in the semi-heated pool, which she nearly had to herself. Alan and I supervised….from the pool chairs, with nachos, tomato bisque, and seafood sandwiches. 🙂
We didn’t rent a car, and ended up walking a whole lot and cabbing some. At the end of each night, we would be physically exhausted from all the walking. I kept thinking I’d make it to the roulette tables at least once, but was always too tired to by the end of the day…
